What is CLP?
Made to Melt by Emma is fully CLP compliant.
CLP stands for Classification, Labelling & Packaging. The CLP Regulation ( (EC) No 1272/2008) is based on the United Nations’ Globally Harmonised System and its purpose is to ensure a high level of protection of health and the environment.
CLP Regulations govern that the contents of a CLP label depends on the fragrance or essential oil used in the wax melt. They are all completely individual to each scent so no two CLP labels will be the same.
CLP labels must be directly affixed to the packaging of the wax melt or candle. At Made to Melt by Emma, the CLP labels is affixed on the back of every wax melt product, along with a Wax Melt Safety Sticker.
Why is CLP so important?
The CLP label provides a list of ingredients and allergens; in the unlikely event you need to seek medical attention because one of my products has come into contact with your skin and caused irritation or you have had an unexpected reaction, the CLP label on the back of each of my melts will help the medical practitioner determine the appropriate course of treatment.
I advise that you retain the packaging in a safe place until you have used all of your melt.
If you need to seek medical attention and do not have the packaging to hand, all CLP information can be found underneath the description of each fragrance on the website. Alternatively, please send me a message either via social media, or email: [email protected] and I will happily and quickly provide all the information you need.
